On 29 May 2020, the National Director of Boundaries and Frontier Zones, Ambassador Ximena Fuentes Torrijo, gave its Annual Report for the year 2019. Given the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual Report was read online. The video has been made available on our website.

During her presentation, Ambassador Fuentes made a complete summary of the activities and results achieved during 2019. The Report highlights the most important activities undertaken in the relation with our neighbouring countries, the progress made by the Territorial Information Unit, and the achievements in the field of boundaries and frontier zones, in matters that fall under the areas of responsibility of the various departments and units of DIFROL.

Ambassador Fuentes also referred to the Case concerning the Status and Use of the Waters of the Silala (Chile v. Bolivia), currently pending at the International Court of Justice.
