The border area comprises areas relatively close to the international political boundary, in which the geographic-territorial, social, economic and legal relations that develop are subject to the presence of this boundary, as they become spaces of movement, exchange and integration.

The border area is represented by a layer of lines with vectorial characteristics, to be downloaded, used and visualized in projects in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software in shp and KMZ formats.
