The National Department of State Borders and Boundaries of Chile (DIFROL) has donated some educational supplies, to the “Concentración Fronteriza N°629 – San Gabriel” primary school.
During this visit, the Officials from DIFROL were received by the Mayor of the Municipality of San José de Maipo, Mr. Roberto Pérez Catalán; the Secretary General of the Corporation of said Commune, Mr. Cristián López; the Director of the primary school, Mrs. Jéssica Mallea; and the coordinators of the first and second cycle, Mrs. Paz Vargas and Mrs. Lorena González, respectively.
The donation consisted of 8 world globes with different scales, 2 framed world maps and 9 unframed world maps. These supplies are expected to benefit about 155 students, all from the said school, which are divided in classes that range from 14 to 19 pupils, from 1st grade to 8th. The school Director pointed out that part of the cartographic material is going to be shared with two other primary schools, also form that Commune: “Las Melosas” and “los Maitenes”.
Finally, both the Mayor of San José de Maipo and the Director of the primary school, expressed their gratitude to DIFROL for considering that educational institution for making this important and very useful donation.
