Hydrographic activity in southern channels
The Department of Boundary Studies, under the Boundary Directorate, is proud to announce that Susan Silva has become the first woman to participate in a hydrographic activity in the southern channels south of Puerto Montt, where she is collaborating with the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy (SHOA).
Susan Silva, an exemplary employee, has broken gender barriers and has marked a milestone in equity by participating in this important task of exploration of our territory. Her participation highlights the commitment of the Department of Boundary Studies and SHOA in promoting equal opportunities and recognizing the talent and ability of women in fields traditionally dominated by men.
The National Directorate and its Boundary Director congratulate Susan Silva for her outstanding leadership and resilience, paving the way for more women in the field and reaffirming the commitment to move towards a more inclusive and equitable society.
