On November 15 and 16, the XI Meeting of the Border Integration and Development Committee between Chile and Perú was held on Arica. The meeting was headed by the National Director Carlos Dettleff and the Director of Border Development and Integration of the Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Luis González.

The Ambassador of Perú in Chile, Jaime Pomareda also participated in the Committee as well as the Peruvian General Consul in Arica Julio Cadenillas, the Regional Coordinator of the Northern Zone of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Hinojosa and the Chilean General Consul in Tacna, Alejandro Gibbons.
