In Arica, on August 17, 2022, in compliance with article 8 of the Regulations of the Chile-Peru Integration and Border Development Committee (CIDF), the delegations of both countries met in person, chaired by Mr. Carlos Dettleff , Director of Borders of the National Directorate of Borders and Limits of the State-DIFROL , of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and by Minister José Luis Gonzales, Director of Border Development and Integration of the General Directorate of America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru .
Both delegations highlighted the excellent relationship between the organizations that are part of the CIDF, which has made it possible to achieve compliance with 75% of the commitments agreed upon during the December 2021 meeting, despite the difficulties generated by the global health situation.
It was agreed to hold the XI Border Integration and Development Committee, in Arica, on a date to be defined during the second half of next November.
